The bennefits of an Oil Radiator compared to Fan Heaters

Oil filled radiator heaters are a great invention. They use a coil inside to heat up to make them warm. They warm up the oil inside the coils of the heater, and then circulate it throughout the coils and fins. As the heat rises from the radiator, it comes back down, warming the immediate area surrounding the radiator. These radiators can be used in any room that has a electric outlet for you to plug into. Most oil filled radiator models are quiet and do not even have a fan. Many electric heaters that have fans can be or do become noisy over time.

The latest design of oil radiators use a more stable oil solution which heats up faster and also never burns. Most oil heaters also have digital thermostats which makes heating up a room very easy and can keep the room at a consistent temperature. These type of heaters are extremely efficient and cost much less than installing a whole new system. They can be placed in any room and can be left on attended or overnight. Some models even have a switch that will shut off your radiator in the case it were to be knocked over.

An oil radiator compared to a electric fan heater does not warm up immediately, but it does not take very long at all. Not really any longer than a conventional radiator in your central heating system. There is the odd click as it warms up, this is just the oil heating up. Another alternative option to the oil heater would be an electric fan heater. The DeLonghi HVE332-3 fan heater has 2 heat control settings and cool air facility for summer use. Also includes a thermostat, overheat safety cut-out which stops the heater if accidentally covered and comes complete with fitted plug and 12 month guarantee. This heater warms up a medium sized room quickly within around 5 minutes usually. Once your ideal temperature is reached, the heater will automatically switch itself off thanks to the inbuilt thermostat. It will come back on if the temperature drops again.

If space is a problem, we found that the DeLonghi mini-sized heater is the baby in the oil filled range. The Bambino electric radiator is perfect for topping up the heat and saves on space. Ideal for small rooms the product has an 500 watt heat output with adjustable thermostat, Anti frost protection, large carry handles and comes complete with fitted plug and 5 year guarantee. This heater is quiet, easy to move around and easy to use although at 500 watts it is not suitable for heating big rooms. This little heater is absolutely ideal if you want to keep your conservatory warm during the cold winter nights when the heating is off.

So to summarise, oil filled rads will heat rooms quickly. Most models have thermostat heat controls to keep your room at a constant temperature. They are safer to use compared to naked flame gas heaters. Ideal for conservatories with no central heating installed. Keep your family and invest in a new oil radiator.
